Every common chloride, in the grade and format your operation runs.
Chloride.ca supplies the full range of chloride chemicals Canadian operations actually use — calcium chloride for the deepest cold and fastest melt, magnesium chloride for lower-corrosion de-icing and gravel-road dust control, sodium chloride and rock salt for economical high-volume road work, potassium chloride for low-sodium water softening and food-grade use, and a calcium-and-sodium ice melt blend for all-purpose commercial work. Each product page below sets out the working temperature, available formats and best uses so you can match the chemistry to your job.
The right choice usually comes down to temperature and surface. Above about −7 °C, economical rock salt clears most events; in deeper cold, calcium chloride keeps melting to roughly −32 °C where salt has stopped. Where corrosion, concrete or vegetation is a concern, magnesium chloride is the gentler option, and for water treatment or food processing the high-purity sodium and potassium grades apply. Every product ships in bulk, liquid, tote and bagged formats with a current Safety Data Sheet, and our team will confirm the grade and format for your spreader, storage and budget.
Most operations buy several of these products rather than one — a rock-salt base for volume, calcium chloride for deep cold and priority surfaces, and dust-control grades in summer. Buying across the range on a single contract keeps the per-tonne price predictable and lets us match each grade and format to the job.
